Charging Mode or Standby Mode
Inverter/chargers also charge themselves when not required. It then converts the AC current into DC. Nowadays, the current new generation inverter/chargers directly pass the AC current to charge up the AC loads, without any conversion in between.
Applications of Inverter/Chargers

One of the positive factors in using an inverter charger is that, it uses a grid like system to charge itself up, and resulting into large battery banks, which will be useful during utility loss. Grid systems are usually powered via solar powers. Hence, these units are mainly used to power off these grids so that the inverters can come into play. The owner or the manager of the home or the company respectively, should know that such an inverter/charger can be connected to any kind of grid system when required. These are another major advantage, of using inverter charger to power off and to connect to any grid system when required.
